Wedding pizza catering usually combines a setup cost, food for the confirmed guest count, staffing, travel and any sides or desserts. For The Pizza People, the current minimum event charge is £650. A useful quote should show what is included and explain why the total changes, rather than presenting a per-head number without context.
The short answer
For an evening wedding service in Worcestershire with four pizza choices and no added sides or desserts, our estimator currently produces these example guide ranges:
| Guests | Guide range* |
|---|---|
| 50 | £713–£788 |
| 100 | £1,093–£1,208 |
| 150 | £1,520–£1,680 |
*These examples use Worcestershire as the event county. They are planning guides, not confirmed quotes. Venue access, the date, timings, travel and the final menu still need checking.
The fastest way to price your own event is to use our wedding pizza quote estimator. It separates wedding breakfast, evening food and a combined service because those are different meals with different requirements.
Why caterers have a minimum charge
A mobile caterer has many of the same event costs whether the guest list is 30 people or 100. The team still has to plan the booking, prepare ingredients and dough, travel to the venue, set up safely, heat the oven, staff the service and pack everything down afterwards.
That is why a small event cannot always be priced by multiplying a low per-person rate by the guest count. Our £650 minimum keeps the service viable. For some smaller events, the package may include complimentary sides or desserts when they fit within that minimum, helping the booking feel more generous.
The five decisions that affect price most
1. Whether pizza is the main meal or evening food
A wedding breakfast needs to feed guests as their main meal. It normally calls for a more generous service and may include sides, salads and desserts. Evening pizza is usually served after guests have already eaten earlier in the day, so the quantities and service plan can be lighter.
Our guide pricing therefore treats wedding breakfast and evening pizza differently.
2. The number of guests being fed
Food and staffing rise with the guest count, although the per-person element can become more efficient at larger events. Give the caterer the number expected to eat, not only the daytime invitation count. Evening guests and guests likely to leave before service can change the plan.
3. Menu size
Four pizza varieties are the usual starting point on our catering menu. Five or six choices can work, but each additional choice adds preparation and makes it harder to maintain an even flow when everybody wants a different favourite.
4. Sides and desserts
For evening food, pizza alone may be enough. For a main meal, salads, garlic bread and desserts make the menu feel complete. These are priced per guest because they change both ingredient quantities and preparation.
5. Location and venue access
Travel is part of the estimate. The practical setup matters too: a straightforward arrival and nearby service position are different from a rural venue with restricted access or a long movement route between the oven and guests.
We are based in Worcestershire and cater at suitable venues across England and Wales. Our coverage guide explains how we assess each journey; travel is confirmed from the venue postcode.
What a quote should confirm
Before paying a deposit, check that the quote states:
- the number of guests and the role of the meal;
- what food and service equipment are included;
- the number of menu choices;
- the planned serving duration;
- travel or other venue-specific charges;
- how dietary requirements will be handled;
- deposit and final-payment dates; and
- what happens if guest numbers change.

Frequently asked questions
Is the estimator a binding quote?
No. It is a planning guide based on the details selected. A final quote follows once the date, venue and practical requirements have been checked.
Is pizza cheaper than a traditional wedding breakfast?
It can be, but a fair comparison needs to include staffing, setup, sides, desserts, table service and the amount of food. Compare complete packages rather than one headline per-person figure.
Do we need to feed every evening guest?
Plan from the number likely to be present and ready to eat at the serving time. Your caterer can help sense-check that number against the daytime and evening guest lists.
